Continuing Education

Continuing Education Credits:

There is a maximum of 10 continuing education hours available for full conference participation. Some disciplines are required to sign in and out each day refer to details below:

All participants are required to complete the Overall Conference Survey. There are 3 ways to complete the conference evaluation form 1) on the mobile app or 2) complete the Overall Conference Survey you will receive in an email following the conference or by clicking here  http://www.cvent.com/d/mtqvxz/7E and finally or 3) complete a hard copy survey form and return it to the Continuing Education Table (CE Table) located in the Atrium before exiting the conference.

Participants interested in Certificate of Attendance may pick up a certificate at the CE Table prior to exiting the conference.

Physicians/Nurses Day 1:

The Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA category 1Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

REGISTERED NURSE CONTINUING EDUCATION PRE-APPROVED SPONSOR – Any conference that provides approved Continuing Medical Education (CME) as authorized by the Illinois Medical Practice Act is considered a ‘pre-approved’ RN CE sponsor. Criteria for successful completion includes attendance in the entire general session, health track workshop session(s), health plenary session.

Nurses Day 2:

Nurses participating on Day 2, Nurse Continuing Education: University of Illinois at Chicago’s Division of Specialized care for Children is an approved Sponsor for Nurse Continuing Education by Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations. Nurse CEs will be offered for participation in the health track sessions and the plenary session on day 2 for maximum of 4.5 CEs. The purpose of the health track activity on day 2 is to enable the learner to identify strategies to increase YSHCN health care, self-advocacy skills, and the quality of health care transition. It is also to review resources available in the community and describe ways to improve outcomes for YSHCN as they move into adulthood.

To obtain your Certificate your online completed evaluations are required by November 28, 2018.

Educators:

Will earn 1 CPDU per contact hour for activities that will directly impact or contribute to improving student achievement. To receive Professional Development (PD) Credit at conference complete your state evaluation form (77-21A), along with the Overall Conference Evaluation and turn in at the CE Table to get your Evidence of Completion form (77-218). YOU MUST SIGN IN AT THE BEGINNING AND SIGN OUT AT THE END OF EACH DAY.

Social Workers/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor/Licensed Professional Counselor:

Will earn 1 CE hour per one clock hour. The CE activities must contribute to the advancement, extension and enhancement of the professional skills and scientific knowledge of the license in the practice of social work or clinical social work. Complete the Overall Conference Survey on the mobile app or complete the Overall Conference Survey you will receive in an email following the conference. You may also complete a hard copy survey form and return it to the CE Table located in the Atrium. You can pick up your Certificate of Completion at the CE Table prior to exiting the conference.

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist:

Will earn 1 CRC per contact hour. The CE activities must engage the participant in activities that contribute to the enhancement, extension, and/or advancement of skills and knowledge for the practice or implementation of rehabilitation counseling. Complete the Overall Conference Survey on the mobile app or complete the Overall Conference Survey you will receive in an email following the conference. You may also complete a hard copy survey form and return it to the CE Table located in the Atrium. You can pick up your Certificate of Completion at the CE Table prior to exiting the conference.
